Sarah updates: Sarah waves to everything now. It doesn't even have to be a person, she waves. She does not randomly clap like she used to. She also has been eating zucchini and her sleeping pattern is longer - falls asleep much earlier these days - around 8 and sleeps all night until about 7 or so. Oh the exctiting life and times of Sarah!

Sandcastle

My friend Katy invited Sarah and I to sandcastle today. She has a pass, and it was "bring a buddy day". We had fun hanging out on the lazy river, and Sarah worked her leopard swimsuit like a superstar. Thanks for inviting us, Katy! I am trying to get Katy to do the steep slide with me next time!

Fun Summer Days

We had so much fun hanging out at our pool yesterday for the first time this summer. It is a rocks throw from our house, which is nice.
Later that night, Sarah got her gambling on at our church fair.

Tom Petty

Chris and I went on a date last night, something we never get to do, to the Tom Petty concert. It took 3 hrs. to get there because of the traffic, we missed Steve Winwood (the opening act), but it was well worth it - a great show! Sarah was in great hands and had fun with her Grandma Buzzard.

Cleveland

I went to Cleveland last night with my parents. My dad has to have his carotid checked out at the Cleveland Clinic this morning and we stayed overnight for a great visit with Tony, Amy, and the kids. Good news: My dad's artery does not need surgery. ThankYouGod.

Sarah stood by herself yesterday while observing a plant! I am so sorry Chris missed it (he had to work). The kids taught me kickball, which was a blast for all of us! Sarah also had a great time with her cousins. Mia (9) and Bella (7) made notes and stickers for Sarah, it was so cute. And Anthony (11) makes her wave and smile and laugh.

On the way home this morning, there was this very large piece of metal from a truck on the parkway that my dad could not get away from. It damaged the back of his car so badly he probably needs to get the whole thing redone. He couldn't veer from it because of the massive amounts of cars around us. It stinks! The man doesn't have much or care for material things, it wasn't his fault, and thank God no one was hurt of course, but grrr....

Social butterflies

Today Sarah and I went to our first "baby lapsit". Sarah had fun with the many other babies and the many things to play with, while I had fun making new friends with other moms. She really liked this play station.

Today is a special day... It is my niece Isabella's seventh birthday! Happy Birthday Bella-Boo! I love you!

Giving up on the Stanley Cup

Sarah could hardly contain her emotions at the end of tonight's hockey game...

What about Bob?

Today I went to work while Chris and Sarah went on their typical long walks they like to do together, and did their regular stop in the park. Here is a familiar picture of fun on the swing...

Chris is notorious for LONG walks with Sarah with the Bob stroller. Today's was only 2 1/2 hrs. There have been many that have been up to 4 or 5 hrs. long!! I have to say that Chris is very biased to other strollers other than Bob. He is somewhat of a "stroller snob". He could be the spokesman for the company. Now we did not go brand name and top of the line for our baby accessories... we did middle or even low end of the road for high chair, etc... as we just wanted simple... but one thing Chris insisted we invest in is "the Bob" as we call it. And all the things that go along with it.. weather shield (don't ask me how it works), sun shield, cup holders, tire stuff, travel bag... This thing is fantastic!

Sarah has been doing great at entertaining herself lately, and is a little busybody. She has also been picking up every wee little crumb off the ground to put in her mouth which means the floors have to be immaculate that she is crawling around on. She is cruising, and soon I expect will walk on her own. I am in no hurry for that! Favorite thing with Sarah today... we had a giggle fest together, exchanging laughs like crazy.

I have to say, I am only human in that I may take some of the regular day to day things I have for granted. Even though I consciously try not to. But as cheesy as it sounds, I do mutter "thank you God" about a million times a day under my breath when I am with Chris and Sarah. I am blessed with so much! (Insert nausea here)
