Ciao from Italia!

My cousin Lia and her son Alessandro came to visit from Italy for the past three weeks. It was their first time in the U.S. Along with them, my brothers and their families also have been visiting and taking them all around - N.Y. and D.C. to name a few... Here are Lia and Ale on our Just Ducky tour we took on July 21.

And Sarah having fun with her Nonno.

This past Sat. my mom threw a surprise birthday party for my dad. He has never in his life been the center of attention, and it was a fantastic night to celebrate him! Everyone took turns speaking about how wonderful he is, it was so nice!! I am bummed I forgot my camera...

Here are a some shots of Sarah with the family from Sunday:

Sarah loves sitting on the lap of cousin Mia...

Oh...hi, oh

Saturday morning the three of us packed up and went to Canton, Ohio to visit Jean (Chris's sister) and her hubby Mike for the rest of the weekend. Chris, Mike, and Jean went golfing Saturday while Sarah and I hung out at the country club pool all day. Yep, we acted like yuppies for the day. After that, Jean and Mike had a great cookout, a day of fun and laughs, and they taught me Yuker late into the night.

Jean and Mike have two dogs and Sarah was LOVING it. It was too funny. She was chasing and laughing at them like crazy. She had a particular liking to Rusty, the bigger dog. It was a great time, wonderful to get away, and of course spend time with Chris's family. Thank you Mike and Jean for spoiling us this weekend!

Independence Day

Friday was July 4th, and my dad's birthday. Chris, Sarah, and I went to Eat-n-Park for breakfast.

Then, spent the rest of the day cooking and being together at my parents house. Chris and I did not go see fireworks. My whole school of thought is... you've seen one, you've seen them all. No oohing and ahhing here, friends. I am a lame 4th of July date. But happy to be with my family, as no work this weekend for my husband... what a special treat to be with him on the weekend.
