Welcome Marco!
My son Marco made his big debut into the world on Monday Feb. 16. at 7:08 pm. He weighed 8 lbs. (ouch!) and was 19 3/4 inches long. I was so happy that I did not have a c-section! The doctor told me he would be big, so I was a little worried about that. Sarah had episodes of jealousy at first I think (or maybe it was confusion?), but then she also would run around saying his name and she will plant a kiss on him if we ask her to. She startles when he cries, and then will say "cry" (as though she never does it!) I think she is more bothered by the fact that we have to hold him and can't just pick her up when upon her command. I am very grateful for my wonderful family... and for another healthy baby.

My Little Valentine
So, today is Valentine's Day. Since Chris and I met, we never found a need to celebrate it. We think it's cheesy, and cliche. Why does Hallmark have to dictate a romantic day for us? Chris shows me his love EVERY DAY. After 4 yrs., he still opens the car door for me. He wakes up immediately in the morning when Sarah does, and rushes out of bed just so I can sleep in a little. He makes me fabulous meals all the time, and gives me a bite of it even before he has one. He works hard to provide the best life for me and our children. He does anything and everything he can to spoil me with love and kindness. So I have to say... These things are the best Valentine's gifts I could ever have. Everyone else can take their roses and chocolates and crowded restaurants tonight... I get that and then some all the time. My baby, Chris, I love you and thank God for you everyday...
Just a little reminiscing here...

In the mountains hiking on one of our first dates.

At the Steelers/Chargers game in San Diego.

On the beach in California.

Fun in Florida, and being the best daddy as always...

Who would have thought Chris would volunteer for the church festival last year?

I just love this photo from our wedding... holding the girls' flowers...

Us, just cracking up...
**Update on this post: After I wrote the above, Chris tells me there is a package that arrived... He sent me a dozen roses and chocolates. He just had to give in this year to our anti-Valentine ritual... Always full of surprises...

Little Pastimes
This is probably the last week Sarah will be an only child... She has been in tantrum-ville and very clingy to me. Some of her favorite pastimes include: playing with keys, playing with lotion and rubbing it on her hair, and jumping around and frolicking in her crib... She also loves to flip and look at books. Her favorite lately is, "If You Take a Mouse To The Movies". Chris actually hid it because he was so tired of looking at it with her.

Baby Boy is on his way here.. but house is out
Yesterday my ob/gyn said I will probably be having the baby next weekend! My due date was originally Feb. 26, but looks like baby is a big guy, and ready to greet the outside world. Last Fri. I had a sonogram and they estimated him to be 7lbs. 11oz. already!! Yikes! Sarah was only 6lbs. 8oz, and it was a very difficult labor and delivery.
My dad went to the OR yesterday for a transducer US of his prostate. They will be taking him to the OR next month for implantation of radiation seeds.
Yesterday we found out we will not be purchasing our dream house. The bozos we have been dealing with (Susan Smith & Mallikarjun Mahesh) for the past few months decided they wanted more money than we all initially agreed on to purchase their home... So for the THIRD time, we lost the house we wanted to buy because they lied to us. In the past few months, they have lied numerous times when negotiating prices, called us back three times after we walked away from their ridiculous offers claiming they would "make it work"... but when it came down to it, they never followed through. They are greedy, asking both my agent and theirs for part of their commission. We also heard they are very rude to their Realtor too... Such a bummer... We agreed on a price, but now at the last minute, they went back on their word on an offer that THEY MADE and now are asking for $10,000 more. Not only that they had the nerve to tell us they would throw in their nasty patio furniture for another 10K more. Chris and I decided they could shove their house up their butts as we are tired of their dumb real estate games... Sigh...

The kiddos
It was wierd being done with teaching CCD last week. The kids were sooo sweet, and it is such an ego boost to hear how much I will be missed! Although I moaned to Chris every week about how much work it was, it was a very rewarding experience.

Aren't they cute? I will miss their hugs, stories, and cute prayers they made up every week... (2/3/09)
