Stairmaster

I spent a lot of time today getting the past nine months up here on this thing... It took forever (to the dismay of poor Chris, who wanted to spend time with me) since I am horrible at computers and pictures and don't know what I am doing ... When I finally quit, I came downstairs and Sarah climbed up the stairs. We couldn't believe it, as she cannot even walk independently yet. So today... she hit a new milestone.

On another topic... Today is my parent's 46th wedding anniversary! Wow!! Congratulations to you Mamma and Papa for a long, beautiful life together and here's to many, many more years of happiness ahead!

First feeding

5/9/08- Yep, we waited a long time for Sarah to try solids. She took to it well. The past few days though we have introduced broccoli, and she doesn't like it, but we will keep trying.

Going for walks

April 24- Taking a pit stop on a walk with Daddy to pose in front of the train.

April 17 - Swinging away at a park near our home.

Florida... Here we come!

We went to Florida for a few days for my friend Lori's wedding at the beginning of April. We ended up staying in Orlando for a few days, then to Daytona Beach for a few days. Jeani (Chris's sis) has a condo there and was kind enough to offer us to stay there...They have an amazing place and it's right on the beach! Though it rained the whole time, we still made the most of the breaks in sun...

4/5/08 - Taking a walk in the stroller in Orlando at the resort where Lori and Neil's wedding was.

4/9/08 - At a restaurant in Daytona

4/7/08 - First time those little toes hit the sand!

4/6/08 - Lori and Neil were so kind to give us tickets to go to Disney. They gave us passes to get into ALL the parks! Here we are on the tram on the way to Magic Kingdom...

4/6/08 - I was so excited to see the castle in real life. Note the dark clouds around it. By the pic, you would think we went into Disney, and soaked up the Mickey of it all. Nope, we got to the entrance, and claps of thunder and heavy downpour awaited us... Alas, we were not able to go... We were sorry to have missed Disney, as I was wildly excited to be there... Go figure.

4/5/08 - Lori and Neil on their big day. Their wedding was beautiful! It is such a shame it had to rain... I was honored to be in their wedding, and it was so nice! (Now I can offically retire as a bridesmaid!)

4/4/08 - Sarah's first dip in the water... She took to it well, considering it was cold and Chris didn't beat around the bush, he just pulled her right in.

Meeting Peter Cotton Tail

(3/19/08) Sarah met the Easter Bunny at the mall and quietly examines him... She then becomes more interested in pulling on his bowtie than looking at the camera. Flicking it back and forth and all around... I stand behind the camera, making goo goo sounds and silly faces trying to get her to look and smile... Never did I think this would be me, but I love it terribly... (Wow, I can't believe this was over two months ago!)

Hamming it up

Grandma's got talent

(9/18/07)
Sarah's Grandma Buzzard (aka Mom to us) made this beautiful blanket, that we have used non-stop since we got it..

(12/5/07)
She also made this beautiful bonnet, blanket, and sweater...

(11/16/07)
This was actually made for and worn by ME when I was a baby... My mother's friend had made it

Look ma, no hands!

Sarah at three months when she was sitting up for the first time on Dec. 7. I happened to be on the phone chatting away to my friend, when low and behold... She sits... alone.

Christening Day

Sarah being spoiled and cuddled by Zio Tony in the morning while everyone is getting ready. My brother Tony is an AMAZING photographer... and his pics of that day are a million times better than these ones I took above... Thanks Tony for always capturing memories with your amazing talent!

I was so happy to have Sarah Christened at St. Paul's Cathedral. It is the church that I have gone to and prayed at throughout my years as a student at Pitt, when I came home on weekends from grad school, and the years since I began working at Presby. It is the place I went to seek solace in many times in my life. (Bonus too: the church Chris and I were married in) So, it meant so much to have her baptised at that church. Sarah wore the same gown and bonnet that I wore on my Christening day. We were so fortunate that it was near Christmas, so a lot of family was able to be there and celebrate the day with us! Merry Christmas Nonno and Nonna!

All the cousins hanging out together... Christopher, Noah, and C.J.

The three of us celebrating the day

All dolled up on Christmas Day

Waking up on Christmas Morning... "Mommy did Santa drink the milk you made, or is that just for me?"

Chris surprised us with the biggest, best Christmas tree he could find... Look at those fantastic old fashioned coloured bulbs! (13 Dec 2007)

Christmas Eve 2007

Meeting Santa for the first time at the Pennsbury Kid's Christmas party (9 Dec. 2007). She was the youngest one there, and got her favorite toy as a gift from the mayor that day... her pooh toy. As you can see, Sarah was annoyed by Santa - he was not bouncing her.

-All of the above is out of order with time, sorry! I don't know how to really do this yet!

The first few months...

I love you Aunt Joani! (1 Oct. 2007)

Hanging out with Uncle Marco at Thanksgiving and loving those Italian Nursery Rhymes!
(22 Nov. 2007)

First Halloween... Trick or treating at Nonno and Nonna's house.

Only a few weeks old.. and already she's a Steeler fan... Hmm, wonder where she gets that from? (23 Sept. 2007)

Welcome Sarah!

How quickly the time has passed..It has been nine short months since this scene in the hospital...

Hello World!

Welcome to our world! This is our new way to document our little family and for us to look back on our memories, days, and lives together… It is pretty much for selfish reasons, but hey - if anyone else wants a peek into our lives, we would be flattered! Thanks for reading!
