Dog - gone - dogs!

It is official... my loathing of puppies, dogs, whatever you want to call 'em has reached it's official high point. Thursday we were innocently looking at houses to buy with our agent. We get to a house, the realtor opens the door, and we are greeted by a yapping lapdog. He seemed friendly, but after we looked around the house, the dog went balastic and out of nowhere, violently attacked Sarah, taking a good bite to her ear. Poor peanut had seven stitches. Thank God it was only her ear, will probably heal fine, and she will never rememember.... But my question is - if you have pets, why not cage them when strangers are coming over to potentially buy your house?! I am livid. If someone has a pet and invites me over, I can not say that I could feel comfortable with my child there, if pets were around. I thought that having to live with a barking dog next door that never shuts up for four years was rough... but this situation is so much worse, and I am beyond devestated...

On another topic... My dad came out the hospital Friday, and went back to work... SATURDAY!! He is a machine. Hard to tell how he is, he just works like a robot and can't stand to not work, and hides all his pain so one will never know... I hope he has a full recovery. That week in hospital was horrible, he was so ill.

Last week was rough.

Acute Bacterial Prostatitis

Please let this infection leave my poor dad alone. He went (reluctantly) to the ER last night, and now is on antibiotics. Not himself today at all. Please God - let it be gone. Thank you.

House Hunters

The house hunt continues. Sarah, home inspector extraordinaire, inquisitively admiring a home...

Daddy goofing off with the things home owners leave laying around their houses when potential buyers come by...

Happy Girl

Yesterday we discovered two things - Sarah has an odd rash on her face and another tooth is growing next to the first one. We called the doc yesterday and they just said keep a look on the rash. Sarah has been eating everything - tons of fruit and veggies. Today alone it was peas, green beans, squash, watermelon, canelope... all healthy and homemade goodies. Hopefully it is not an allergy...
"And lemmie tell ya another thing, daddy..." (on Aug.10)

"Oh mommy, not another photo of little old me?" (On Aug. 10)

"Now I am finally proudly pushing this, instead of just playing with it." (on Aug. 13)

"I just love playing outside!"(on Aug. 13)

Sick and miserable

Since Saturday, Sarah has has a fever - her first real illness. At first, we blamed the sprouting tooth. But, yesterday we broke down and took her to the doc as it was not subsiding. Fever has since gone, and it's good to see Sarah smile again today. She has been mis-er-able! Not her jolly usual self. Last night she discovered she could arch her back and plop her head backwards down on the bed. She thought it was hilarious. This morning, she woke up doing it over and over... Welcome back smiles on Sarah!

Friday night fun

Last night Sarah made a new friend, Jake, at the Thompson house. We had fun celebrating Katy's graduation / birthday and being around all the little ones.

Goodbye toothless grin...

Today we went to look at houses with my dear friend and Realtor, Jeanne. Admist our travels, Chris discovers that Sarah has a tooth emerging. On her upper left gum, out sprouts a tooth... We were sad to know her the toothless grin will be no longer. I try to keep looking at it, but Sarah won't let me. She has been getting up in the middle of the night at times which unusual for her, so maybe that is why.

As far as house hunting goes. we are torn between two houses we really like.... One in Robinson and one in North Hills. We will keep searching...
